AlphaGo, The AI Program That Beat Ke In the Yin Zhi Tournament's Final, Will Play a Match Against Human Players On Thursday

AlphaGo, a computer programme that just beat Ke in London’s Yin Zhi tourney, will now play another game against top Go players. The AI program has been specially trained to imitate Ke's strategy. The results of the match are expected to show that AlphaGo is far superior to human opponents. Demis Hashibis, the founder of AlphaGo, said that the competition was a true test to artificial intelligence.

Yin Zhi (Chinese name for go)

Computer programmers love to play Ai go (or Yin Zhi) a popular game. The Chinese name of the game is pronounced as "gee", but it can be pronounced with an alternate sound, the -i sound. The Chinese pronunciation for the name is identical to the si vowels zi, Ci, and zhrrrrrrrrr.

It is a wonderful information game

A perfect game of information is one in which each player knows all the actions, and moves to the next node. It is an information game that both players can understand and win. This distinction is important because perfect information games are not abstract. A perfect game of information is a very complex and mathematically challenging type of game. It is however a benchmark for future games.

It is a major challenge for artificial intelligence

AI has many challenges. One is the identification of situations where it can be difficult to make the best decisions. Some examples include autonomous vehicles that are not able to avoid crashing into walls and movie recommendation systems that ignore parental restrictions. In some cases, the situation is far more complex. This makes it essential for humans to supervise the system, and to provide ongoing training to prevent errors. In such a case, explainability of AI decisions is vital to ensure transparency.

It beat a human master

AlphaGo, an artificial Intelligence (AI) program that won recently, demonstrated that computers can perform complex tasks better than humans. This feat highlights the potential for new brain-like technologies. Ai go beat a human master comes at a time when researchers and scientists are investigating how machines can do things like draft legal documents and drive cars. Some serious thinkers are now wondering if AI will soon replace human workers.

Google DeepMind has been developing it

Google's research team is currently developing AI Go. The team fed 30,000,000 Go movements from human beings into a network made of hardware and software. It is modeled after the network of neurons in a brain. The neural networks can also be used to recognize commands and tags in Android phones. As the neural network learns speech recognition and faces, it can also learn to play the game Go.

FAQ

What are some examples AI applications?

AI can be used in many areas including finance, healthcare and manufacturing. Here are just a few examples:

  • Finance - AI already helps banks detect fraud. AI can scan millions upon millions of transactions per day to flag suspicious activity.
  • Healthcare – AI is used for diagnosing diseases, spotting cancerous cells, as well as recommending treatments.
  • Manufacturing - AI can be used in factories to increase efficiency and lower costs.
  • Transportation - Self driving cars have been successfully tested in California. They are currently being tested all over the world.
  • Utilities use AI to monitor patterns of power consumption.
  • Education - AI can be used to teach. Students can communicate with robots through their smartphones, for instance.
  • Government - AI is being used within governments to help track terrorists, criminals, and missing people.
  • Law Enforcement - AI is being used as part of police investigations. Detectives can search databases containing thousands of hours of CCTV footage.
  • Defense - AI systems can be used offensively as well defensively. Offensively, AI systems can be used to hack into enemy computers. Defensively, AI can be used to protect military bases against cyber attacks.

What is the future role of AI?

The future of artificial intelligence (AI) lies not in building machines that are smarter than us but rather in creating systems that learn from experience and improve themselves over time.

This means that machines need to learn how to learn.

This would enable us to create algorithms that teach each other through example.

We should also look into the possibility to design our own learning algorithm.

You must ensure they can adapt to any situation.

How does AI work

An algorithm refers to a set of instructions that tells computers how to solve problems. An algorithm can be described in a series of steps. Each step is assigned a condition which determines when it should be executed. A computer executes each instruction sequentially until all conditions are met. This continues until the final results are achieved.

Let's suppose, for example that you want to find the square roots of 5. If you wanted to find the square root of 5, you could write down every number from 1 through 10. Then calculate the square root and take the average. It's not practical. Instead, write the following formula.

sqrt(x) x^0.5

This says to square the input, divide it by 2, then multiply by 0.5.

This is how a computer works. The computer takes your input and squares it. Next, it multiplies it by 2, multiplies it by 0.5, adds 1, subtracts 1 and finally outputs the answer.

  • While all of it is still what seems like a far way off, the future of this technology presents a Catch-22, able to solve the world's problems and likely to power all the A.I. systems on earth, but also incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands. (forbes.com)
  • In the first half of 2017, the company discovered and banned 300,000 terrorist-linked accounts, 95 percent of which were found by non-human, artificially intelligent machines. (builtin.com)
  • According to the company's website, more than 800 financial firms use AlphaSense, including some Fortune 500 corporations. (builtin.com)
  • That's as many of us that have been in that AI space would say, it's about 70 or 80 percent of the work. (finra.org)

How To

How to create an AI program

You will need to be able to program to build an AI program. Although there are many programming languages available, we prefer Python. There are many online resources, including YouTube videos and courses, that can be used to help you understand Python.

Here is a quick tutorial about how to create a basic project called "Hello World".

To begin, you will need to open another file. On Windows, you can press Ctrl+N and on Macs Command+N to open a new file.

Then type hello world into the box. Enter to save this file.

To run the program, press F5

The program should display Hello World!

This is just the beginning, though. These tutorials can help you make more advanced programs.
